I am giving a presentation this week on Typical Food in the USA. I have pictures of cheeseburgers, hotdogs, the difference between pizza from Chicago and NYC, gumbo, clam chowder, BBQ, Soul Food, etc. In one of my classes at the end of my presentation, the teacher asked them to write down the ingredients of an American dish that I talked about and draw a picture of it. She started walking around and checking their drawings, spelling, etc.
The picture that a few of them was drawing was... fish and chips.
Fish and chips was definietly not in my presentation because it is not a typical American dish... it's British. But no matter how many times I tell some of them, some of them still think that London is a part of the USA. Therefore, we eat fish and chips haha.
