A beautiful sunset is the perfect end to any day.
Friday, I woke up around 1. I checked the buses/trains and tried to figure out the best way to get to Motilla or Valencia for Carnival. Finally, I called the bus station and realized there was a bus at 6:15. So I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning the apartment, doing laundry and getting things ready for the weekend.

I took the bus from Cuenca to Motilla and since it wasn't an express bus, we stopped in all the little pueblos along the way. I had the perfect window seat to watch the sunset behind the hills.

Studying.
I spent the bus ride reviewing vocabulary, verbs and expressions. Once I got to Motilla, I went to the bathroom and realized I'd left my bookbag on the bus... So I ran back out and luckily the bus driver hadn't pulled away... Then I realized I didn't have any more saldo on my phone to call Bea to tell her to pick me up. So I just decided to start walking. Now Motilla is a pueblo, it's super small, population of about 6,000. So I figured I would be able to find my way. I knew the general direction I needed to go. I got about half-way when Bea called me. So I just stopped and waited for her in the middle of a park... She thought I was lost in Motilla and couldn't stop laughing. To be fair, I wasn't lost, I would have made it to her house if she had given me 5 more minutes....

We then went to the store and bought things for our costumes for carnival, ate dinner, had a drink and went to bed early to get some sleep before heading to Valencia for Carnaval the next day.

xo,
